Open Cluster

The Pleiades are little children

playing, or Seven Sisters,

or a tiny Big Dipper,

or a distant question mark moving,

moving apart. Although it is

running away from itself,

I focus on its shiny pattern

and gasp at beauty that only seems

to stay put. My slow sight

is all I need to give myself

a talisman.
