I’ve been here three days
I love my father and he loves me
I don’t care that he still tries to
Buy my love
Or that he tries to erase the past
As far as I’m concerned
It’s done
He still manages to get around
Though not as well as he used to
I am my father’s child
I am by his side right or wrong
I promised mama
I’d cook her a roast
But it will be late
She will understand
I didn’t go to church, either
