Combinations
Rain mixed with hail
hit the sidewalks hard
but didn't slow down the boxer.
Jab jab combination,
down George Street,
right left right
hurting his imaginary opponent.
I look as I drive by
and see the determination
in his eyes
and the absolute belief
that their is someone
in front of him
trading blows,
trying to steal his belt
to take away
all that he has left.
Jab jab right right
the fight goes on.
