Revealed in Presence

When I walk with my senses
What voice whispers
“Hear that”
As a bird calls  
Or someone speaks a phrase

What voice turns a phrase
As I might turn
A jewel to make
Its facets sparkle
Reveal its inner patterns

What voice whispers
“See that”
As things arrange themselves
Into meaning
Before my eyes

That’s what I think
They mean when
My fellow humans say
You are never alone
