Now Featuring Audio Recordings

Now you can hear as well as read great poetry here at Eye On Life Online Magazine.   To experience this wonderful addition, click on any of the links to the poetry of Elizabeth Swados below, scroll down to the bottom of the poem and click the link to the audio file.  I’ve often heard it said that when a poem is read it gets a whole new life.  Listen to these works by Elizabeth Swados and I think you’ll agree.

A Full Circle Dream

Note from poet Robert Petersen.  "The intent if this poem is to convey a story of dreams not realized by a young woman who sought a better life and of the legacy of that failure passed down to her son, etc.  I am a descendant of nomads, much like the Gypsies of Eastern Europe we have had trouble adapting to the intensive agricultural, and sun god way of the modern world.  Perhaps we are doomed, but that is not to say we will leave without telling our stories.  Before there were Russians, Goths*, and Romans there were Sami.  (pronounced Suamee)

*Most Northern European people descend from the Gothic tribes that invaded Europe on the tail of Roman Genocide against the Celts of Gaul."
