A Full Circle Dream
Note from poet Robert Petersen. "The intent if this poem is to convey a story of dreams not realized by a young woman who sought a better life and of the legacy of that failure passed down to her son, etc. I am a descendant of nomads, much like the Gypsies of Eastern Europe we have had trouble adapting to the intensive agricultural, and sun god way of the modern world. Perhaps we are doomed, but that is not to say we will leave without telling our stories. Before there were Russians, Goths*, and Romans there were Sami. (pronounced Suamee)
*Most Northern European people descend from the Gothic tribes that invaded Europe on the tail of Roman Genocide against the Celts of Gaul."
Poetry Out Loud - Competition for High School Students

At the Massachusetts Poetry Festival, October 17th, 2009, winners of the 2009 Poetry Out Loud competition in Massachusetts will recite, 12pm to 4pm. This event will take place in the Victorian Garden in the Mack Building, Lowell, Massachusetts, at the University of Massachusetts.
Massachusetts Poetry Festival
I have put my name in as a volunteer to help out with the Massachusetts Poetry Festival in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 15th through 18th. On Saturday morning, October 17th, they are conducting 40, count 'em, 40 poetry workshops. Whether I am volunteering or not, I will be there as much as I can, and will post a full report right here on The Poetry Locksmith.
