Farewell to Poetry Editor Tom Rubenoff

Poetry Editor Tom Rubenoff will be leaving us on May 29th.

As Poetry Editor for Eye On Life Magazine, Tom read the poems that were submitted to Eye On Life Magazine for publication and chose from among these submissions those that would be published here in our Poetry Unlocked pages.  In the beginning Tom invited friends to submit their work and advertised on other poetry sites and even Craig’s List for submissions.  As time went on, other accomplished poets were attracted and filled these pages with wonderful poetry.

Certainly the influence, guidance and fine eye for design of Editor in Chief Michelle Richardson played a major role in attracting these poets.  Therefore, if one were to judge Tom as a poetry editor, it would not be for the appearance of these pages, but only for the choices he made as he published the poems and poets you may find here and did not publish others.  Read the poets and their bios to get a sense of what Tom was looking for.

Tom leaves us to pursue his own poetry and music, to continue his career in the door hardware business and to devote more time to family.
